Happy Monday!
Did you notice A Cedar Spoon got a makeover?
I tried to make the site cleaner and easier to navigate. I hope you like it. I am still working on updating a few things but I am very happy with the finished product. Thanks to Monica over at Design Blogs.Com for her help!
A friendly reminder: today is the last day to enter to win An Edible Mosaic Cookbook. It is a beautiful cookbook that will take you on a journey through Middle Eastern cuisine.
Now on to my favorites from around the web including some delicious recipes from fellow food bloggers including some fun Valentine’s inspired finds.
I think this post should be called “Julia’s Pinterest Obsession” because a lot of these finds come from my time spent browsing Pinterest. I love being able to see what everyone is cooking, what new products & fashion are out there and dreaming of all of the places that are on my bucket list of travel. What to join in the fun? Come over and follow A Cedar Spoon on Pinterest. But don’t blame me for the hours you might spend on there!
A little inspiration to start off your Monday:
Date Night: 32 Stay at Home Date Ideas 32 great date ideas-might be especially helpful for all of those parents out there that can’t get a babysitter.
Sip Worthy: Red Velvet Milkshakes Share one of these with sweet treats with your sweetheart.
Sweet Tooth: Cake Pops My good friend Jessica recently started a food blog {Stuck on Sweet} & has posted some beautiful and delicious treats, like these cake pops. Go check her site out for more yumminess.
Blend it Up: Blueberry Banana Almond Flax Seed Smoothie Picture yourself waking up to one of these smoothies—healthy & delicious.
Escape: Venezuela I want to know who took this picture and how they did it? Were they hanging off the side of a cliff or in a helicopter? Amazing, breathtaking and such a great vantage point.
Spare Time: Frame Door Bookshelf Reduce, reuse and recycle right? I am really into salvage, antiques & finding new purposes for old things. This is a wonderful idea!
To Snack On: Cherry Cheesecake Pretzel Bites Adorable, perfect for Valentine’s Day & it involves Cheesecake. Anything involving cheesecake is worth making in my opinion.
Slurp Worthy: Corn and Crab Chowder If you live somewhere cold, then this is right up your alley. Grab a bowl of this, sit by the fire and warm yourself up.
Work it Out: Burn 100 Calories Print this out and you have no excuses to get moving.
Jewels: Minty Bea Cluster Necklace Is summer here yet? This necklace leaves me longing for warm days spent on the beach in a tank top and flip flops.
Home is Where the Heart Is: Door Décor I have a thing for doors. Weird? Maybe. I love this as a sliding door to the dining room- so much character.
Dip Worthy: Avocado Egg Rolls with Creamy Cilantro Ranch Dip For all of the avocado lovers out there.
Eat Your Veggies: Cheddar Apple Winter Salad with Balsamic Feta Vinaigrette There is no better combo than a good cheddar cheese and apples. When I saw this salad on Bake Your Day’s blog recently I knew I had to share these flavors with you.
Have a great day.

What a coincidence…I found you on Pinterest just now and had to come check out your site because I loved everything! Plus, I’m in Milwaukee so I’m kind of in your neck of the woods. Love what I see so far!
Ha, that is funny…well I guess I really am on Pinterest a lot!
And yes, we are close! I was up in Milwaukee this past weekend (my husband’s family is from there). I really like Milwaukee, it is a very manageable city (sometimes Chicago isn’t).Thanks for stopping by.

Well thanks! And thank you for the suggestion. They did a good job and didn’t break the bank, which at this point is key!
