My mind is a little foggy on this Monday, I must admit.
I went to a wedding this weekend & had a little too much fun! Nothing wrong with that, right? A night away from the little one means Mommy and Daddy get to let loose. It was a beautiful winter wedding and I got to see a great college friend marry her best friend and also got to spend the night hanging out with my favorite college girls. There isn’t anything much better than that!
So as I write this Case of the Mondays today, I must admit I have them pretty bad! Not only is it my first Monday back in three weeks (the way the holidays fell I wasn’t here) but I am sleep deprived on top of it.
Here are my favorites from around the web & from a lot of blogs I love & read religiously. Enjoy the distraction as you start your day!
Tunes: The Lumineers This is my first Monday at my desk in three weeks…can you say Case of the Mondays x 10! The Lumineers are helping me through it…I really like their 2012 album, check it out!
Inspiration: Worrying I have to admit, I am a worry-wart! It is something I am always working on…this is a good quote to keep in mind.
Get Moving: Tips for Creating and Keeping an Exercise Routine I love Liz’s suggestions for creating and keeping an exercise routine. I find it really hard to fit working out into my busy life (excuses, I know!). I am working hard to find time at least 3-4 times a week to work out.
Healthy Sips: Banana Orange Avocado Smoothie I haven’t incorporated avocado into a smoothie but what a great idea, and talk about healthy!! Yum.
Warm Me Up: Tortilla Soup I am a sucker for a good soup. I could eat soup daily. Could you? This Tortilla Soup looks especially tasty.
Eat Your Veggies: Power Salad Eat this and your packing a lot of nutrients with each bite!
Mediterranean Eats: Quinoa Tabbouleh Salad I have only eaten tabbouleh with bulgar in it but am excited to try quinoa–just to see how it changes the salad. Tabbouleh will always be one of my favorite salads!
Starter: Easy Bean Dip I love bean dips & this looks extra yummy. Perfect for tailgating or that Super Bowl party you have coming up.
Health: 50 Ways to Lose 10 Pounds Great suggestions for dropping a few pounds, like go meatless or eliminate some of the flour in your diet.
To Sip On: Blood Orange Bloody Mary Oh my! This looks awesome for a nice Sunday brunch.
Foodie: Fall Veggie Pot Pie I know it isn’t Fall but man this looks perfect for those cold days when you need some comfort.
Travel Bug: Ancient Village, Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy We are heading to Italy in May—can’t come soon enough! I dream of quaint little villages like this one..
Kitchen Helpers: Measuring Spoons Love Anthropologie–tons of cute stuff like these measuring spoons to brighten up the kitchen.
DIY: Colored Mason Jars Mason jars are great for all kinds of things–vases, drinks, keeping salad dressing stored & these colored ones are pretty. Check out this great tutorial and do this yourself!
Brighten Your Day: India This picture made me smile—bright beautiful colors.
Have a wonderful day.
