Black Bean Dip with Queso Fresco comes together in under 10 minutes and makes a nice appetizer for a party or spread on your weekday sandwiches. Grab a big bowl chips and get ready to devour this creamy, Mexican black bean dip.



  • 115 oz. can of black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 Tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 Tablespoon tahini {sesame seed paste}
  • 1/2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne red pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes {optional}
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Garnish:
  • 23 Tablespoons queso fresco
  • Additional black beans
  • Freshly chopped cilantro
  • Chopped red onion
  • Serve with lots of lots of chips!


  1. Place all ingredients {not the garnish} into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Scoop the black bean dip into a serving dish and garnish with queso fresco, black beans, chopped cilantro and red onion.


Serving size is 3 Tablespoons.[br][br]This dip also makes a great spread for tacos, sandwiches or wraps![br][br]If you aren’t a fan of queso fresco consider using pepper jack or sharp cheese.
