Dark Chocolate Raspberry Greek Yogurt Parfait

It is a New Year and many people are looking for healthy breakfasts and snacks they can make and take on-the-go with them when at work, driving their kids to school or post-workout.
A Dark Chocolate Raspberry Greek Yogurt Parfait can be a healthy breakfast {feel free to leave out the dark chocolate..but a little chocolate never hurt anyone} or make this for a snack. The dark chocolate and raspberries will satisfy your sweet tooth while the Greek yogurt gives you protein to help keep you feeling full and give you energy.

When you make your Dark Chocolate Raspberry Greek Yogurt Parfait it is helpful to use a glass jar, like these Ball Canning Mason Jars, with an airtight lid. The nice thing is it allows you to make these parfaits the night before, seal them up and put them in the refrigerator, and grab it when you are heading out the door. I also think this could be a healthy dessert for Valentine’s Day if you are looking for something sweet but not too heavy.
My kids also love these Dark Chocolate Raspberry Greek Yogurt Parfaits. It is the perfect afternoon snack for them when they are craving something sweet.

I used fresh raspberries but other fresh fruits work great too. Try using strawberries, blueberries or blackberries. I like to mix the honey in with the Stonyfield Vanilla Greek Yogurt to add a bit more sweetness. You can mix up the type of yogurt you use to and try a plain yogurt, or a flavored yogurt. I tend to like Greek yogurt to get the extra protein in the parfait.
If you have an extra ten minutes I suggest you throw this Dark Chocolate Raspberry Greek Yogurt Parfait in the refrigerator and have it waiting for you in the morning!
