Easy Skillet Apples make a nice side dish or dessert paired with ice cream. Your favorite fall apples are sautéed in butter and brown sugar and paired with warm spices to create the ultimate fall treat the whole family will love.
EASY SKILLET APPLES
When fall rolls around apple pie is one of my favorite things to eat.
I love a big slice of warm pie with vanilla ice cream.
The only problem with my love for apple pie is that I often don’t have a lot of free time to make them. Easy Skillet Apples to the rescue!
You guys-these are a life changer when you are craving something sweet for dessert.
Your favorite apples are cooked in a skillet with a little butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg and a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten them up.
There is nothing like apples with cinnamon.
The sweet apple mixed with the warm, rich cinnamon is heavenly.
I can eat a bowl of these Skillet Apples all on their own, but also love pairing it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
My kids love dessert. I mean, what kid doesn’t?
This is one of their favorites this time of year and for food reason.
My kids love apples as snacks throughout the day but they also love them in desserts and sweet treats.
One thing we make a lot after apple picking is Crockpot Applesauce or Instant Pot Applesauce.
WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN THESE STOVE-TOP APPLES?
-
8 apples, peeled, cored and cut into small chunks

1 lemon, juiced
-
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon cloves

In the fall I often make these Apple Pancakes, Apple Bars with Pumpkin Pie Spice Icing or this Zucchini Applesauce Bread.
The nice thing about today’s Skillet Cinnamon Apples is that they are simple.
One you core and peel your apples the cook time will take about 10 minutes to soften the apples.
I don’t know about you, but that’s music to my ears.
One of my families favorite things to do is to go apple picking.

We have an apple orchard near us that we go to every year and my kids just love it.
When it comes to these stovetop cinnamon apples I love using honey crisp, gala or Jonathan but really any apple works great.
You can even mix the apples together if you have a variety in your fridge.

Hi there, I love my cast iron--which isn't exactly non-stick but I also like my Calphalon skillet.
