Who doesn’t love a pumpkin spice latte or a nice chai tea latte to start their morning off right?

Third order of business, I have finally had some time to put my picture together from our trip to Tennessee. Here goes…

My parents live in such a beautiful area of that state, in a place called Johnson City. You may not know where that is (I sure didn’t before they moved there).  It is in the heart of the mountains, nothing flat about this place.

These are the type of views you get from the top of my parents neighborhood. Morning walk anyone?

You can see the mountain tops…sigh.

Oh, and the workout you get just taking a walk around the block will keep you in shape.

Mike and I rode bikes down the Creeper Trail through Blue Blazes.  The views and the ride were beautiful, peaceful and just what this city girl needed.

As you can see above the Appalachian Trail runs through the creeper trail. As you will see Maine is 1,717 miles and Georgia is 469 miles..now that is one crazy long trail.

When I saw this setting on the mountain side I wondered how something can be so picture perfect?

The creeper trail stretches 34 miles from Abingdon, Virginia down thru the lovely town of Damascus, Va but we did the 18 mile portion from the top of the mountain to Damascus.

This trail is perfect- not very hard, downhill and just a great stroll through nature, mountains and quaint little mountain towns.  On the way down there is one restaurant that serves pretty killer BBQ that we stopped out. The line was out the door and it was just plain yummy. Nothing can beat some Southern BBQ.

If anyone is going to be in the area I would highly recommend doing this bike ride. The views are worth it alone.

We also took our annual trip to Asheville, NC while there which is one of our favorite towns. Great food, art, scenery and people. If you have a chance to go you will not be disappointed.
