Happy Friday guys!
I wanted to give you a little update about what is going to be happening around A Cedar Spoon over the next few months. I will be taking some time to enjoy the baby and adjust to having a toddler and a newborn at home! With that being said you will still see a new recipe every Monday and a guest post from some my food blogger friends on most Fridays. I will also occasionally be posting recipes on Wednesday depending on the week. I have some delicious recipes coming up including a few freezer meals I made in preparation for the baby coming so stay tuned!
Today is my first guest post from my dear friend Jessica of Stuck on Sweet! She always shares such delicious, beautiful dishes. Her blog is packed full of Italian favorites (her Husband’s family is Italian so you know she knows what she is doing) and she is my go to blog for sweets and desserts. I was lucky enough to work with Jess for a few years and we have remained good friends and do cooking classes together because that is what foodie friends are for, right!?
Hello everyone! This is Jessica from Stuck on Sweet. I am guest posting today on A Cedar Spoon as Julia prepares to welcome her second baby boy into the world. I can’t.even.wait!!!!! I’m sure you have seen her son, Will. Isn’t he the cutest and happiest little guy? Last time I saw him (it’s been too long) he was showing me his belly button. I lost it – so darn cute.
These are also kinda cute right?
I figured Valentine’s Day is coming up – one of my favorite holidays by the way. Single or not single, you usually devour sweets so I am totally all about it. Have you been to Michael’s lately? You need to go!!! Now!!! They have Valentine’s Day stuff galore…I’m a bit obsessed. I bought this HEART along with the adorable sprinkles and the candy coating for these here pops. Michael’s is like Target. Ya can’t leave without a bunch of stuff. I also left with some tin thing and more cupcake liners. They have new ones every.single.time I go and I say to myself “well hey, can’t hurt to get a few more right? And they’re only like $1.99.” I have a cupboard FULL of cupcake liners. Looks like I need to start baking some serious cupcakes.
So about these pops! Oreo cake pops are super easy to make. Really only need three ingredients – oreos, cream cheese, and candy coating or chocolate. Crush the oreos up, mix them with cream cheese, roll into a ball, and cover with your choice of coating. That’s it!
I love making cake pops for parties because they’re fun to make and people LOVE them. They’re cute, delicious, and different.
Now, don’t worry if you can’t make them perfect. That is really hard to do and it takes a lot of time. I’m not saying don’t go for it but don’t feel like they’re ruined if they don’t look like they do in the magazines. I mean check out the sticks in mine? They’re ALL crooked…I think it adds character. 😉
Enjoy and thanks for hanging put with me today!

These look so adorable and delicious! Did you crush the Oreos straight out of the package or did you remove the creme filling first?

Jess said she just took them straight out the package with the cream in them and crushed them.
