These Peanut Butter Banana Roll Ups could not be any easier to make and are a favorite with kids! Whole wheat tortillas are filled with creamy peanut butter {or the nut butter of you choice-sun butter for those with allergies}, honey, a banana and chia seeds {optional} and then cut into bite sized pieces.

These roll ups are super customizable too, which is great! You can use thinly sliced strawberries instead of a banana or use both. You can do Nutella for an extra special treat or add in some granola to make the a nice breakfast idea.  These are Peanut Butter Banana Roll Ups are always a huge hit in my house and the kids ask for them a lot.

PlanetBox Bento Boxes are the perfect solution to your lunch packing struggles. Here are a few reasons I love this compact little lunchbox:

  1. Easy to use and makes packing lunches quick: the proportioned compartments will serve as your guide for what and how much to pack. That takes the guessing about portion size out of the equation!
  2. Safe to use: PlanetBox takes a “non-toxic, non-leaching, safe from BPA, phthalates, and lead” very seriously – in fact, it’s why they designed PlanetBox!
  3. Built to last: This isn’t your childhood flimsy tin lunchbox. Their high quality stainless steel is warrantied for 5 years, and has been known to survive getting thrown off the school bus (not that they recommend that).
  4. Healthy: Forget to pack some veggies? The empty compartment will remind you. Concerned about overeating? That won’t happen – PlanetBox is designed to hold sensible portions. So eat a rainbow of foods, and enjoy. I love this!
  5. Stress-free clean up: Dishwasher safe? Heck yeah. Peanut butter left for a week? No problem – their stainless steel doesn’t retain yucky food odors or stains like those unfortunate plastic containers do. I am all about easy clean up!
  6. And lastly, these are customizable: PlanetBox has a variety of bento box options to choose from with a carrying case and they also sell fun magnets that you can use to allow your child to express their creative side.

Ingredients

  • 2 - 8 inch whole wheat tortillas
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter {or nut butter of your choice or if there is an allergy try sun butter}
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 Tablespoon chia seeds {optional}
  • 2 medium bananas

Additional options:

  • Nutella
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Granola

Instructions

  1. Lay the two tortillas on a flat surface. Spread a layer of the peanut butter on each tortillas, followed by the honey and then lay the banana in the center of the tortilla. If you want to use chia seeds sprinkle those on the peanut butter and honey.
  2. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll like a burrito. Cut into bite sized coins or you can just cut it in half.

Notes

You can use any nut butter in place of the peanut butter or sun butter if there is an allergy. For a special treat try using nutella.

Sometimes I like to add thinly sliced strawberries around on the peanut butter and honey.

Double Ginger Molasses Cookies belong to the chewy-molasses-cookie family, but they have so much flavor and so many surprises that they transcend the familiar. For starters, there’s both crystallized ginger and powdered ginger, lots of chopped dark chocolate and an optional bit of instant espresso too.

I am always afraid to pack banana sandwich or roll up for lunch due to the banana browning. Do you wrap it in Saran Wrap or anything?

So a tiny bit of lemon juice would help with browning on the bananas. You also would need to prevent them from being in the air- so plastic wrap could work! I hope it works for you! Thanks.
