Snickers Ice Cream Milkshake made with Snickers Brand Ice Cream Minis, vanilla ice cream, milk and chocolate sauce topped with chopped peanuts and chopped Snickers Ice Cream Minis is a great way to indulge this summer.
Happy National Ice Cream day guys!
Lets celebrate with this Snickers Ice Cream Milkshake, ok? I mean come on, if you are going to celebrate any food related day throughout the summer this is the one. At least for me it is!
An excuse to eat ice cream? Twist my arm.
I realize I have shared two dessert recipes with you guys in one week which is pretty rare for this corner of the Internet. I promise to return to the regularly scheduled, mostly healthy recipes, but for now lets indulge a little.
Since we follow the 80/20 rule around my house {we eat 80% healthy and 20% of the time we enjoy the sweet things in life like sweets, chocolate, cookies} this fits into that 20%, so I am sure you guys still want those recipes too, right? Moderation has always been the key in my life.
Ice cream is my biggest weakness when it comes to sweets. If you follow my Instagram you probably have seen a few of my favorite cones lately. Sorry for tempting you all. I can’t pass up a bowl of my favorite ice cream and am always on the lookout for a local favorite. In Chicago we had a local ice cream shop that was hands down the best ice cream, ever. In Cleveland we have a chain called Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt which has quickly become our new go-to ice cream shop.
Oh, and don’t worry, I have passed on my love for ice cream to my son Drew. Yes, that is him hanging on the ice cream cooler at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. I mean come on, if you want the ice cream, you want the ice cream.
If you are lucky enough to live in an area that has Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream run out and eat that stuff. Yes it really is splendid!
Aside from a really good waffle cone filled with ice cream, milkshakes are my thing. It is fun to mix up flavors and candies into a whirlwind of ice cream. Heavenly. I tested this Snickers Ice Cream Milkshake out a few times for you. You are welcome. I had to make sure it was perfect, right? 😉
If you are a Snickers lover then this is your milkshake. Creamy vanilla ice cream is mixed with Snickers Brand Ice Cream Minis {these little bite sized treats are great if you don’t want to eat a whole bar} along with chocolate sauce and milk. Of course a milkshake isn’t a milkshake without some toppings, so throw a handful of chopped peanuts and chopped Snickers Ice Cream Minis on top.
In the summer months, going out for ice cream is a fun family outing. But how about instead of venturing out, you have your kids help you make this milkshake and enjoy a night watching movies? Now get out there and enjoy some ice cream on National Ice Cream Day!
Share your creations with me and tag #acedarspoon on Instagram if you make any of my recipes. I love to see what you guys are loving.

Genius!! Not only do my kiddos love milkshakes, they love Snickers! Mom does too ;) I can't wait to give this a try... so much easier to make at home vs. going to the ice cream shop!
