Spiked Pomegranate Iced Tea

Spiked Pomegranate Iced Tea takes your favorite summer iced tea and adds PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur  vodka and fresh mint to create a refreshing summer cocktail that you can sip at your next backyard festivities.

I recently shared a recipe for a Pomegranate Margarita that makes a great backyard cocktail for the summer months.  Today’s Spiked Pomegranate Iced Tea also makes a refreshing backyard drink to sip on when you need to cool off.  If I am hosting a party in the summer this would be the kind of drink I would love to share with my guests.

Each week I make a big batch of sun tea during the summer.  It is so easy.  You take a pitcher of water and add about 4-5 tea bags to the water {you can use green tea, black tea, peach tea, any tea you like} and I add a sliced lemon along with sprigs of fresh mint from my garden.  I seal up the jar and set it in the backyard in direct sunlight for the day and just like that you have a huge pitcher of iced tea for the week.  When I do this I am reminding of my childhood and the glass jar of sun tea my Mom would make on a weekly basis.  I love carrying on traditions like this, those little things that bring back all of those great memories.

Most of the time you can find me sipping on a glass of iced tea after a morning at the pool or a day riding bikes.  But from time to time my husband and I like to create cocktails out of the sun tea.  The nice thing is you already have it on hand and can modify and add flavors to your liking.
