Julia: I want to make the Pork Chili Recipe for 30 servings. Am I reading the quantity of the following correctly?
5 – 75 ounce cans of black beans, which amounts to 375 ounces?
Same for the Pinto Beans (?)
Sounds like a lot, even for 30 servings. Just want to make sure it wasn’t supposed to be 7.5 ounce cans.
Same for the 10 – 75 ounce cans of diced tomatoes which would be 750 ounces of diced tomatoes. Should that read 7.5 ounce cans instead? Also 5 – 75 ounce can of corn, drained & rinsed. Should that be five 7.5 ounce cans?
Sorry to sound rather ignorant, but I just thought I would ask.
Thanks for your response.
Are you referring to this recipe? https://www.acedarspoon.com/easy-pork-chili/ I am not sure if the servings goes up to 30 but I would go with what it says. I wonder if because it is such a large serving size it giving you huge can sizes. I am not even sure if they sell cans that big. You might want to set it for 15 servings and then just buy double the cans if that makes sense?
Regarding your Easy Cranberry Baked Chicken Thighs recipe.
1) Can this be made with boneless thighs in a slow cooker?
2) Can this be made in the oven using skinless boneless chicken breasts?
You can use boneless chicken thighs! I would just follow the recipe the same but maybe check the chicken a bit sooner in case it is done cooking quicker without the bone. You also can do skinless, boneless chicken in the oven – I would bake at 400 degrees F – bake in the oven until the chicken is completely opaque all the way through and registers 165°F on an instant-read thermometer. Start checking after 20 minutes; total cooking time is usually 30 to 40 minutes.
Hi Julia, i was wondering if you have a video of your lamb croquettes being made?
also im doubling your recipe how many potatoes do you think ill need for the mashed potato?
also i have garlic cloves but always garlic paste could I just use the paste?
I don’t have a video unfortunately. You could use garlic paste- that is fine. As far as double it would be about 1/2 cup of the mashed potatoes so that would honestly probably be 1 large potato but maybe 2 to be safe.
Good morning Julia
So glad that you’re back. Hope all is well with you and your family. I kept checking
your website to find no new recipes. Thanks for coming back and posting again.
I would love to get a cookbook 🙂
Unfortunately I don’t have a cookbook yet. I am hoping maybe once my 4 year old is in kindergarten that will give me more time to work on one! Stay tuned.
Hi Julia, your Moroccan red lentil soup is just fantastic. Best, John (Vienna, Austria)
