12 Recipes Using 6 Ingredients or Less

Happy Labor Day! I hope you are having a great holiday weekend. This weekend was extremely busy for us but so much fun!! I didn’t have time to do much cooking so I thought I would do a quick roundup of  12 recipes I found using 6 ingredients or less. I know there are a lot of days that you are busy and the less ingredients you have to use in a recipe the better. Sometimes less is more…

Butternut Squash Soup (Food Network) Butternut squash, olive oil, salt, shallots, chicken broth and curry powder. Perfect fall soup.

Black Bean Quesadillas (Eating Well) Black beans, Monterey jack cheese, salsa, whole wheat tortillas, canola oil and avocado. Healthy and perfect for all ages.

Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken (Cooking Light) Roasting chicken, parsley, thyme, lemon juice, salt and pepper. I am a huge fan of Cooking Light. This recipe looks delicious.

Spicy Chicken Skewers (Living Lou) Chicken breast, chili sauce, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper. Easy grill recipe!

Mango Slaw (Recipe Girl) Rice vinegar, mango nectar, canola oil, cabbage, mango and cilantro. Mango is so tasty and is especially good in a salad. I could eat this as a meal.

BBQ Pulled Pork (Iowa Girl Eats) Pork shoulder, regular cola, BBQ Sauce, garlic and onion. Is everyone coming over to watch football this weekend? This is an easy recipe to whip up.

Gorgonzola and Pine Nut Pasta (Greedy Gourmet) Olive oil, shallots, white wine, penne pasta, cream, gorgonzola and pine nuts. I don’t count the garnish-basil- so this is only 6 ingredients.  Yum. Yum. Yum.

5 Minute Brown Butter Chicken and Crispy Sage (Kevin and Amanda) Chicken, salt & pepper, sage and butter. It really can’t get any easier!

Easy, Healthy Vegetarian Flatbread (The Picky Eater) Wheat tortilla, tomato, red onion, bell pepper, pizza sauce and parmesan cheese. Great vegetarian meal. Who doesn’t love pizza?!

Wake Up Smoothie (Eating Well) Orange juice, banana, berries, tofu or yogurt and sugar. Sounds like a great way to start your day!

Pasta Primavera (Dash) Bow-tie pasta, garlic, frozen Italian-style vegetables, chicken broth, basil and parmesan cheese. Easy & healthy. You can substitute fresh vegetables if you have them.

Lime Chicken Tacos (Taste of HomeChicken, lime, chili powder, corn, salsa and tortilla. This is a crock pot meal so you know it must be painless!

I hope you find a recipe or two to try and they are quick and painless for you!
