For today’s Superfood Saturday post I wanted to share 12 Avocado Recipes that are a great way to incorporate avocados into your diet in a way other then making a batch of guacamole. Yes, I am a serious guacamole lover and can eat that stuff by the bowl full but I think it is nice to mix things up and try new recipes.

Avocados are versatile and can be used in all kinds of dishes from soups, to baked goods, to smoothies, to main dishes.  I love the creamy texture of avocados but I also really love what they do for our bodies.  Avocados provide nearly 20 vitamins and minerals in every serving, including potassium {which helps control blood pressure}, they are a good source of Vitamin B, which helps you fight off infection and disease, and they contain fiber to help you feel full longer.

Another important benefit of avocados is that they provide healthy unsaturated fats to help keep your brain cell membranes flexible. Avocados contain high quantities of monounsaturated fatty acids.

So lets get to it. Here are the 12 Avocado Recipes I just had to share with you guys.
