Today I am sharing a Hummus Platter to help you celebrate Memorial Day and the arrival of summer! It takes your favorite hummus to the next level.

You probably know my love for hummus by now. I eat any kind of hummus you put in front of me from this Lebanese Hummus Recipe to a Roasted Red Pepper Hummus to a Lemon Hummus

You will start with your favorite hummus as the base and top it with all of those Mediterranean ingredients you love so much.

When I make this I top my hummus platter with chopped kalamata olives, feta cheese, chickpeas, chopped cucumbers and tomatoes along with fresh herbs and I serve it with fresh vegetables and pita chips.

This makes the perfect warm weather appetizer that you can serve when you have a gathering or a nice snack platter for your family when they are hungry.

See full list of ingredients below in recipe card with exact measurements.

  • Hummus: The base of this recipe is hummus. You can use your favorite store-bought hummus or make this Roasted Red Pepper Hummus.
  • Cheese: Crumbled feta cheese is added on top of the hummus.
  • Olives: I like to add kalamata olives or you can try adding these Lemon Marinated Olives.
  • Vegetables: Fresh veggies like cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and green onions are great toppings for this hummus.
  • Herbs: Fresh herbs are a nice finishing touch. I like to add fresh parsley and fresh mint.

Ways to Modify this Hummus

  • Vegetables: I love adding a variety of chopped vegetables to my hummus. Aside form cucumber and tomatoes I especially like red bell peppers, celery, radish or carrots.
  • Beans: I added chickpeas to the top of my hummus platter but you could also use white beans.
  • Spices: Try sprinkling extra spices on the finished product. I love using za’atar or sumac!
  • Greens: I think that arugula, micro-greens or chopped romaine makes a nice addition to this appetizer.

What to Serve with this Hummus Platter

  • Pita: I always serve my hummus with pita bread or pita chips. You can also make your own pita chips by following a recipe like this.
  • Vegetables: Crisp, fresh vegetables are a healthy option to serve with this hummus platter. I love cucumber, carrots, celery and bell peppers.
  • Pickled Vegetables: Many Mediterranean restaurants will serve you pickled vegetables with your hummus platter. If you can get your hands on pickled turnips add those or make your own, or try pepperoncinis or pickles.
  • Crostini and Baguette: Add baguette or crostini to serve alongside this hummus platter. Your guests will love it.
