Can you believe it is January?

January for many people is about New Year resolutions, losing weight, eating healthy and trying to undo all of those cookies we ate over the holidays! I try to maintain a healthy diet year round but I must admit that December is always a struggle for me.  This year has been especially hard because I was 8 months pregnant right around the holidays and the sweet tooth was in full effect! What I am trying to say is that we all could probably use a little healthy in our lives right about now.

Smoothies can be a great way to incorporate some fruits and vegetables into a snack or breakfast.  They are easy to make, fill you up and leave you feeling satisfied.  I make a lot of smoothies for my whole family, including my two year old who loves them.  I especially like being able to hide the extra healthy stuff in them like spinach, kale, oatmeal and peanut butter in smoothies. Who knew a green smoothie could taste so good, right?
