Delicious Mediterranean recipes, in particular, Lebanese recipes, are full of flavor and texture. These Mediterranean recipes are easy to make, healthy, and absolutely delicious!
I am recovering after a wonderful birthday filled with lots of love, baby kisses, fun gifts (some stuff for the kitchen & our trip to Europe next year!) and a double rainbow (my lucky day, right?).
One gift I got that was really fun was from my Aunt and Uncle. They got me a bag full of different things you would use in Lebanese cooking: Tahini, Bulgur, Kishk among other things. It’s on! Now I have no excuse…it was one of the reasons I started this blog in the first place- to learn all of those family recipes my Mom and Grandma have been cooking for years.
Speaking of this blog-one thing I struggled with was coming up with a name. After a long time contemplating it I came up with A Cedar Spoon (after the beautiful Cedars of Lebanon that I hope to one day visit). OH WAIT!! Here is my chance… an all expenses paid 8 night holiday to take a food trek through Lebanon! OH MY GOSH I would die for the chance (and yes, of course I entered! A girl can dream, right!?)
Ok, back to reality. I can dream of visiting Lebanon, but my sister was lucky enough to actually go! She made a trip to see the cedars of Lebanon when she studied abroad in Egypt and said they were just beautiful. I would have to agree by the looks of the pictures that I have seen..
She said the food in Lebanon was beyond amazing and just plain delicious! I can only imagine.
In the spirit of Lebanese cooking, here is a round-up of 20 delicious Mediterranean recipes that I hope to try or have tried. I hope you will try them, too!
