BLACK BEAN DIP WITH QUESO FRESCO
Recently I realized that I haven’t shared a dip recipe with you guys in a while.
It is definitely the season for dips between football games, Thanksgiving and Christmas so I am planning to add a few more to the mix.
Black beans are a great base for many different variations of black bean dips.
You can make black bean dips spicy, add lots of cheese, chopped veggies, diced tomatoes and the list goes on.
I love that this dip is packed with protein and is healthy.
When I create a spread for tailgating I like to include this Black Bean Dip with Queso Fresco, Jalapeño Poppers, Chicken Sliders and this Pico de Gallo.
Black Bean Dip with Queso Fresco is simple to make, taking less than 10 minutes.
It just involves putting the ingredients in a food processor or blender and watching everything mix and come together into a creamy, flavorful dip.
This dip uses tahini, which is what is used in hummus.
But for those that are thinking tahini and black beans sound weird together, I promise it totally works.
This recipe only has 1 Tablespoon of tahini in it along with your favorite Mexican flavors of chili powder, cayenne pepper, cumin and fresh cilantro.
The garnishes are always one of my favorite parts of putting a dip together.
I love topping my dips with extras to bulk up the dip and make it look beautiful.
This dip has queso fresco on it but you can always sub a different cheese like pepper jack of sharp cheddar.
I also added freshly chopped red onion and cilantro which are a must for maximum black bean dip flavor!
With tailgating season in full swing this is the dip you have to have on your table with lots of extra chips to go around.
If you are feeing a large crowd I would consider doubling the recipe because this stuff goes fast.
You can’t beat a flavor packed, creamy Mexican dip alongside your favorite football team and a cold beer. Cheers!
