Cherry Overnight Oatmeal is ready when you wake up. Oats, vanilla yogurt, honey and cherry preserves mix together to create a nutritious start to your day.  Cherry Overnight Oatmeal

I feel like I have been neglecting my baby.  No, not Andrew or Will but this little corner of the world.  I started A Cedar Spoon two years ago and I have nurtured and developed it into something I love.  When I started thinking about what I was going share with you guys this fall I had high hopes for pumpkin, tailgating and Thanksgiving recipes.  Unfortunately that just hasn’t happened so far and I hope you guys will forgive me.  Cherry Overnight Oatmeal

I do have a good excuse though.  My husband accepted a job in Cleveland, Ohio which means we are leaving Chicago to start a new adventure!  While I am so excited to be close to my family, we have mixed emotions of leaving behind a city we love, friends and family we have here.

Currently we are working on getting our house listed which has meant some serious decluttering (the amount of toys two little kids have is insane), cleaning and painting. Needless to say when it comes time to make an elaborate breakfast, lunch or dinner or do some recipe testing for the blog I just plain don’t have the energy or the time.  For this reason I love today’s recipe for Cherry Overnight Oatmeal.

I love recipes like this for breakfast because it requires almost no clean up and is ready when you roll out of bed.  My days start early with a long list of things to do so having something in the fridge waiting for me is key.  This overnight oatmeal uses the new Stonyfield Petite Creme Yogurt–the vanilla bean to be exact.  Have you tried it yet?  The Petite Creme Vanilla Bean Yogurt goes perfectly in overnight oats to help add flavor and texture.

In the morning I added a few tablespoons of Bonne Mamam Cherry Preserves for some tart, sweetness and quickly warmed it up. A match made in heaven. I almost felt guilty eating this for breakfast!

Enjoy!
