This Creamy Mexican Dip has all the flavors you like in your favorite Mexican dip: avocado, cilantro, red onion and salsa, but lightened up using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. This makes the perfect appetizer at a party paired with chips or a topping for your favorite Mexican dish.

I have had this recipe in the back of my mind for some time now and kept meaning to share it. Somehow it kept falling off the radar until now. I love this Creamy Mexican Dip so much. In fact, if this is in the fridge, I can eat it all myself.
When I think of creamy dips, I think of cream cheese or sour cream, or a lot of gooey cheese. Some of the time when I make dips I love the gooey cheese as much as the next person.
But other times I want to eat a dip that is a little better for me and lighter on the waist line. Today’s Creamy Mexican Dip is creamy but without the guilt. This dip uses Stonyfield Greek Yogurt to give it that creamy texture while keeping it light.
I love using yogurt as a substitute in recipes like this Creamy Mexican Dip, Tenderest Cardamom Pancakes or this Creamy Dill Sauce.

We’re big chips and dips fans in our house during football season, so I’m loving this lighter on the waistline version!
Yeah, I wouldn’t share that, so I’d have to make a double batch, one for me and one for everyone else.
That is how I feel about it!
I could live on chips and dip, so it’s a really good thing this one is a bit healthier
Definitely a healthier version which is nice!
This dip looks delicious and would be perfect served with Margaritas. The combination of flavors and the avocado especially make this a dip I plan on trying soon.
