Easy Chocolate Fudge comes together with four simple ingredients and very little work. Chocolate chips, condensed milk, almond extract and silvered almonds mix together to create the perfect holiday treat or gift!
Tis the season for holidays treats! I don’t know about you but my holidays aren’t complete unless I have some fudge on the dessert tray. Today’s Easy Chocolate Fudge is a simple, 4 ingredient fudge recipe that you can whip up and gift or add to your holiday table.
What I love most about this easy fudge recipe is that you can add in any type of nut, candy or flavoring to the fudge. Today’s recipe uses silvered almonds and almond extract.
You could try vanilla or even peppermint extract for the flavoring. I like to add chopped walnuts or peans from time to time.
If you are going for the peppermint chocolate theme try adding crushed, chopped candy cane pieces.
See full list of simple ingredients below in recipe card with exact measurements.
Chocolate Chips: This recipe uses chocolate chips that are melted and turn into the fudge. You could easily use chunks or even mix it up and use white chocolate chips to create a white chocolate fudge recipe.
Condensed Milk: I used condensed milk in this recipe. The nice thing about using condensed milk in fudge is it only requires three ingredients: chocolate, condensed milk and the flavoring or add-ins. You don’t need a candy thermometer with condensed milk or any fancy candy making abilities which is why I love making it this way.
Almond Extract: Since I added almonds into this recipe I also went with almond extract. You could easily use vanilla or even peppermint extract.
Almonds: Silvered almonds are a nice addition to holiday fudge. You can also use chopped pecans or walnuts, crushed candy canes or other candy.
For this easy chocolate fudge it is just that, easy! You will use your 4 ingredients to create a delicious, easy treat or gift for friends and family.
Step 1: Heat Chocolate & Milk: Heat chocolate chips and condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir the ingredients continuously.
Step 2: Add in Almond Flavoring: Once the chocolate has melted, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the almond flavoring.
Step 3: Add Almonds: Stir in the almond slivers.
Step 4: Add Fudge to Square Dish: Pour/scoop the fudge into a prepared 9 x 9 square dish. (I like to use silicone because it pops right out and I don’t need to use parchment paper.)
Step 5: Refrigerate: Place the fudge into the refrigerator to harden for 2-3 hours until set. Remove the fudge from the dish and carefully cut into small bite sized squares.
Can I Make Fudge in the Microwave?
Yes, you can easily make fudge in the microwave. Start by putting the chocolate chips and condensed milk in a 2 or 3 qt. microwave safe bowl and heat for about a minute on high.
Remove and let it sit for about 30 seconds. Stir it and heat again in 30 second increments until it is completely melted. Stir until smooth.
Stir in the extract and any add-ins like nuts and pour the fudge into a square pan. Put in the fridge to cool for about an hour and then cut into 1 inc squares.
Storage Tips
Store the fudge in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
You can freeze fudge for up to 3 months in a freezer safe container.
