EASY FISH TACOS WITH SPICY PINEAPPLE SALSA
Do you guys love seafood as much as I do? We try to eat seafood at least one to two times a week in my house. One way we love to eat fish is in fish tacos. These Easy Fish Tacos with Spicy Pineapple Salsa are a typical taco we would eat during the week to mix up taco night. Not only are these tacos super easy and quick to make, they are packed with delicious flavors and good for you ingredients.
I have always felt that fish tacos are best with a light, white fish paired with sweet and spicy flavors. Today’s Easy Fish Tacos with Spicy Pineapple Salsa uses Gorton’s Flavor Fusions Lightly Breaded Cod Filets and are topped with a sweet and spicy pineapple salsa and a spicy slaw. In the summer months fish tacos are always the top of my list for meals!
One thing I loved about using Gorton’s Flavor Fusions Lightly Breaded Cod Filets is how easy they are to prepare and customize to your tastes. These cod filets bake in the oven to create a crispy, yet tender fish filet. Perfect for tacos!
Then right before you are done baking your filets you add one of four delicious flavor fusion spice blends: first option: Asian Soy Ginger or Orange Sesame; second option: Classic Fajita or Kickin’ Hot Garlic Lime. This allows you to add spice and flavor to your cod filets, making these filets perfect for so much more than tacos. These are great on their own with a couple of side dishes, in a fish rice bowl, salads or on nachos. You can easily chop your filets up for things like nachos and salads. The options are endless!
If you aren’t familiar with Gorton’s Seafood products let me tell you a little about them! You might recognize that iconic yellow coated fisherman in their pictures. But that fisherman in a yellow jacket is more — he embodies their belief in high quality seafood. As the fisherman like to say, “If something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.” Gorton’s Seafood was born and raised in Gloucester, MA. As someone that lived in Maine as a child, I can tell you that the best seafood comes from that part of the country! Luckily we don’t have to live in Maine or Massachusetts to get Gorton’s fresh seafood where we live.
Gorton’s was founded in 1849 — yes they have been around for 167 years! And have been trusted for their quality seafood. They really have stood the test of time! Gorton’s Seafood loves, and wants the world to love, the fresh-caught, perfectly seasoned and totally real flavors of seafood. One of my favorite things about their seafood is their dedication to sustainability. Their Trusted Catch sustainability and quality initiatives ensure their processes meet the highest standards – from sourcing to supply chain and manufacturing – and minimizes their environmental impact. They work hard to fulfill the Gorton’s Fisherman promise. As someone that supports sustainable seafood practices this makes me happy.

The spicy pineapple salsa was a nice twist to the fish tacos. Will be serving this at our next party since most of my guests love spicy food.
