This Tropical Yogurt Smoothie is creamy, sweet and will help you fuel your summer adventures mixing creamy honey yogurt, papaya, mango, pineapple, banana and chia seeds. You will feel like you are sipping this smoothie alongside your favorite beach or tropical destination.
The fruit combination in today’s smoothie is inspired by my recent trip to Costa Rica.
If you follow my Instagram you might have seen a few pictures of the fresh fruit that I ate when I was there.
The fruit in Costa Rica is really one of a kind.
You are getting it straight from the source and you can tell.
The flavors and freshness are just out of this world.
The bed and breakfast we stayed at served us a healthy breakfast each morning that included fresh papaya, mango, pineapple and banana.
When I got home I was craving those fruits and knew I had to put them together in a smoothie.
I always overlook papaya when I am at the store, but it is a great addition to smoothies.
Papaya has a soft texture and blends nicely with mango and pineapple. Papayas are also a good source of folate, vitamin A, magnesium, copper, pantothenic acid and fiber.
In the summer months my love for smoothies is at an all time high.
They make the perfect on-the-go breakfast or snack to fuel all of those summer adventures.
When the weather gets nice I try to spend as much time outside as possible, but by the middle of the day I am exhausted and in need of an energy boost.
This Tropical Yogurt Smoothie using Yulu Honey Yogurt , fresh fruit and chia seeds, are the perfect refreshing, summer pick-me-up.
My kids also love this smoothie so I make a double batch and share it with them.
Smoothie making tip: prep your smoothies ahead of time by putting all of the ingredients except the chia seeds and yogurt in a big ziplock bag and freezing it. Once you are ready to make the smoothie in the morning dump everything in, including the yogurt and chia seeds, blend and enjoy!
This Tropical Yogurt Smoothie is made using a new yogurt, Yulu.
Have you tried it yet?
This yogurt is inspired by an authentic Australian recipe, is smoothed twice for extra creaminess and packed with 9 grams of protein.
It makes the perfect addition to a smoothie, giving it a creamy, rich flavor.
It is made in the USA, but inspired by the Aussies. I enjoy eating this yogurt on its own but it also works really well in smoothies.
I think the extra creaminess of this yogurt adds a beautiful texture to the smoothie, making it a little thicker than usual and rich with flavor.
My kids went crazy over this yogurt and this Tropical Yogurt Smoothie.
