35 Back to School Crockpot Recipes

When you think of back to school do you get a little bit stressed out? Busy days, rushing the kids out the door, trying to think of what to make for dinner on top of the 1,000 things you have to get done in a day.  No worries–I am here to help you just a little bit! Check out these 35 Back to School Crockpot Recipes to help you on those busy nights!

As a busy, full-time working Mom I know that easy, quick meals and snacks are the key to a happy, healthy family. I must admit at this point in my life I love my crockpot. These easy slow cooker recipes are a lifesaver.

4 Ingredient Cheesy Orzo - yum

Sundays are often spent throwing ingredients into my crockpot so weekly meals can cook away while I enjoy the day. Who doesn’t love an easy meal waiting for them when they get home? Or a delicious, healthy snack (my son’s favorite is crockpot applesauce) that you can pack in your child’s lunch?

Now that we have three kids running around our house {Ok, Jack is only crawling at this point, but still!} things are pretty crazy. When meal time comes around at the end of the day, I am exhausted and it really helps to have a meal waiting.

For example make a batch of this 4 Ingredient Cheesy Orzo {the picture above}, Lebanese Green Beans and this vegan Spanish Cauliflower Rice for the week. It really helps to have some easy, reheatable sides ready to go. I also like throwing out a plate of raw veggies to go with dinner.

We are a group of volunteers and starting a brand new scheme in our community. Your website offered us with valuable info to paintings on. You’ve performed a formidable process and our entire community might be thankful to you.

Fabulous round-up lady! <3 I have a total love affair with my crock-pot!

    1. Julia says:

Thanks Jenn! I do too, especially during the fall and winter.

Unfortunately I can’t open any of these links on my ipad. Saw it on FB first and wouldn’t open so then tried going directly to your website and still won’t work. Very unusual? Any ideas?

I really want the recipe for the Balasmic Roast but
It doesn’t come up for me!

Hi Julia, I think I’m going to love your website, although when I click on a recipe all I get is a blank white screen? I have an ipad2. Is it not compatible? I love Mediterranean food. My mother use to make delicious Dolmas. I don’t have her recipe, she just knew it and never wrote it down. I know the secret ingredient she would add, but that’s about it, so I would love to look at your stuffed grape leaf receipe and others! Please let me know if the problem, seeing the receipes, is at my end or yours.

    Sincerely,
    Debi

Hi Debi! That is strange. I tried the links this morning from my computer and they worked. I will go and try my IPAD now and see if they work on there. I have been having issues here and there with my website due to the traffic to this post. I will do a little research and see if it a problem with my website.

By the way-I love stuffed grape leaves! They are my favorite. I have not made them yet on my site but hopefully soon. I have a section with some of our Lebanese recipes here: https://www.acedarspoon.com/mediterranean-eats/. Stay tuned for more this fall! ๐Ÿ™‚

Sounds like some delicious recipes! Would love to try these. However every link I click on, it sends me to a blank page. Anyone else having this issue?

    1. Julia says:

Hi Michelle, I have had so much traffic to this post that at times it has been slow or not working. I am so sorry!! I just went through and tried the links and they all are working for me on two different browsers. I hope it is working for you now. Please let me know if you are still having problems!

  7. Helen says:

I leave at 7:00 and return at 4:00 or after. some of these recipes call for less cooking time than I can give them. I love the idea of having dinner ready, but I’m afraid it will be over done if I cook longer.

    1. Julia says:

Hi Helen, Does your slow cooker have a warm setting? Mine has a setting so when it is done cooking it just keeps it warm instead of continuing to cook the food. If you have that then you should be good to go.

  8. Jessie {Life As A Strawberry} says:

I love this! I start my last year of grad school in a few weeks and basically all I eat when I’m in school is crock pot food. I can’t wait to try some of these!

    1. Julia says:

Thanks Jessie! These would be great for grad school! I know how busy you can be with that.

  9. Sandi Z says:

Did all of the links expire? I’m not able to pull up any of the recipes I’ve “clicked” on. Getting only a blank page & “blank.com” typed across top.

    1. Julia says:

I am so sorry! I think at certain points during the day the page has been down because I am getting so much traffic to this post. Please hang in there and try again. I am working on fixing the problem. Thanks for stopping by!
