Recipe Tips and Modifications
- Ramen: When I make this I buy the packets of ramen and discard the spices that are included. You can use any variety of ramen noodles you can find!
- Heat: You can control the heat. If you like extra spicy add more Sriracha or chili garlic sauce. You can also add in crushed red pepper or any hot sauce.
- Vegetables: Fresh vegetables are a great addition to these ramen noodles. I will often add matchstick carrots, red onion, thinly cut zucchini, fresh spinach, edamame, shiitake mushrooms, tomatoes or bell pepper.
- Greens: Greens are a great addition to this dish. I try to find bok choy, swiss chard or mustard greens but kale, spinach or arugula also work nicely.
- Eggs: Try adding soft boiled eggs to your ramen or a poached egg.
- Garnish: I love garnishes with this dish. I often add sesame seeds, parsley, cilantro or hot sauce.
