Strawberry Sangria

Strawberry Sangria is a fruity, refreshing drink mixing fresh strawberries and clementines.  A pitcher of this sangria is perfect for a warm summer day or a backyard BBQ.

Strawberry Sangria A Cedar Spoon

Yesterday was 85 degrees in Chicago! I know this time of year the warm temperatures aren’t here to stay but I’ll take a few days here and there!

Nothing says warm weather like a glass of fruity sangria, right?

Ever since I spent a summer in Barcelona, Spain, sangria has been one of my favorite drinks.  We would sit on Las Ramblas and drink a pitcher of deep red sangria and people watch late into the night while snacking on tapas.  Life can’t get much better than that.

That was where my love for sangria, paella, and patatas bravas started!

One great thing about Sangria is that it is a drink with a snack built in! In this sangria we used fresh strawberry and clementines for the fruit but you could use oranges (if they are big oranges just use 2).  We also used a berry Lacroix sparkling water but feel free to use any kind of flavored sparkling water that you think would pair up with the flavors.
