I love fresh fruit season, a.k.a. summer.  My kids love to snack on fresh fruit, or eat some with their breakfast.

I decided to make snack time a little more exciting by giving them a dip for that delicious fruit.

I definitely don’t think fruit needs a dip but sometimes it is nice to try something new and get the kiddos excited.

I am excited to share this Yogurt Fruit Dip. It is the perfect treat for the warmer months and a great dip for your favorite fruit or even vanilla wafers.

This dip uses simple ingredients. It mixes together Greek yogurt, almond butter, honey and is served with fruit.

Recipe Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Yogurt: This yogurt dip mixes plan Greek yogurt with the other ingredients. I like the tang and protein it adds to the dip. You can also use a flavored yogurt or a plain yogurt.
  • Nut Butter: You can use any nut butter in this. Try peanut butter, almond butter, sunflower butter or cashew butter.
  • Honey: The honey sweetens the dip. You also can use maple syrup.
  • Fruit: Serve this dip with fresh fruit like berries, apples, pears or grapes.

Please see the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts and instructions.

Ways to Modify this Fruit Dip

  • Spice: Add spices to this dip. You can add cinnamon, nutmeg or allspice or even pumpkin pie spice.
  • Citrus: Add lemon zest, orange zest or lime zest to brighten the dip.
  • Texture: Add some ingredients for texture like finely chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans), seeds like sunflower seeds, granola, shredded coconut or mini dark chocolate chips.

Recipe FAQ

Can I use regular yogurt?

Yes you can but regular yogurt is thinner, so the dip may be runnier. For a thicker consistency, stick with Greek yogurt.

Can I make it dairy-free?

Yes you can use a dairy-free yogurt like coconut, almond, or cashew yogurt.

Can I make it ahead of time?

Yes you can! You can make this 2-3 days in advance and store in the fridge. You will want to stir before serving in case there is liquid on top.
