MEDITERRANEAN CROSTINI

If you know me at all you know my love for all things Mediterranean inspired. The ingredients of the Mediterranean region are not only healthy they are also delicious. They work together so nicely in this Mediterranean Crostini. When I created this crostini it reminded me of my favorite Mediterranean Hummus Toast that I often make for breakfast.

I enjoy hummus paired with fresh vegetables and creamy feta cheese, especially when there is bread involved. If you are having a get together for a large group this would be a great appetizer to make for a crowd. It is also very easy to put together, making it such an easy snack to serve your guests. If you love crostini recipes you should also check out these Pizza Crostinis, Crostini with Whipped Feta and Tomato or these Caprese Crostinis. These are my favorites too!

As with most of my recipes this Mediterranean Crostini is very customizable to your tastes.

HOW CAN I MODIFY THIS CROSTINI?

SPREAD: The spread that I used on this crostini is a classic hummus. You can easily use any flavor you like from a Roasted Red Pepper Hummus to a Lemon Hummus. I also think a White Bean Artichoke Dip would be a great addition to this crostini.

FRESH VEGETABLES: I used diced tomatoes, cucumber and carrots on my Mediterranean Crostini but the sky is the limit. Add your favorite vegetables from mushrooms, to zucchini, to bell peppers.

CHEESE: Feta cheese is always my go-to for Mediterranean style recipes but it isn’t the only option. You can try goat cheese, a cheddar, Parmesan or mozzarella cheese.

GREENS: I love adding microgreens to my hummus or avocado toast and crostini recipes. They are small enough to fit onto a small crostini. You can also chop up kale, spinach or arugula and add that.
