Parmesan Crusted Tilapia is a quick and easy seafood meal that your family will love. Tilapia is coated with a Parmesan breadcrumb mixture and pan-seared in a skillet. This works nicely on its own, in rice bowls or salads.
Today’s recipe uses simple ingredients to bread tilapia along with Parmesan cheese to create that delicious crust we all love. The tilapia is pan-seared the fish in a skillet which takes about a total of 7-10 minutes. You can’t get much easier than that!
My favorite part of this recipe is how easy it is to get on the table. If you like fish fry, then this recipe is for you. Serve it alongside a salad or serve it on a bun with tartar sauce!

How do you Make Parmesan Crusted Tilapia
Pat tilapia dry with a paper towel, then set up a station for dredging the fish.
In a large bowl, mix parmesan, flour, bread crumbs, chopped parsley, rosemary, salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg.Use tongs to dip the tilapia in the whisked egg. Be sure to coat the fish. Then, dip the fish in the parmesan bowl.
Flip to evenly cover each side. Pat down the cheese over the fish to help it adhere.
Heat ¼ cup olive oil over medium high heat. * Tip: Oil that is not hot enough will cause the fish to absorb the oil and will make it too greasy. Check the temperature to be sure it is hot enough by dipping the end of a wooden spoon into the oil. If it slightly bubbles it is perfect, if it bubbles too much turn down the heat and try again.
Once the oil has reached temp, add the tilapia filets.Cook 3 minutes per side.Place on a paper towel lined plate to allow the excess oil to drip off.Garnish with fresh parsley or dill and serve immediately and enjoy!
