EASY AVOCADO BURGER
Warm weather is here and I couldn’t be more excited.
When I think of warm weather burgers is something that comes to mind. My family loves burgers and I love how easy they are to make.
Today’s Easy Avocado Burger recipe is one I make a lot – they are so good!
It is so simple to make during the week or for that special backyard get-together.
I am excited to be partnering with BUBBA burger over the next five months to bring you a new burger recipe each month.
Burgers are a great way to bring protein into your family meals and it is always fun to put a new twist on a classic burger.
What I love most about Original BUBBA burgers is that they only use ONE ingredient. No additives or preservatives.
They are also so convenient. I keep a couple of boxes in my freezer for those busy nights.
You can pull the frozen burgers out and put them straight on the grill or a skillet and they are ready in 10 minutes!
They are a life-saver on those nights you are scrambling to get dinner on the table.
Another thing I love about BUBBA burger is the variety they offer- from beef, to turkey, to plant-based, to gluten-free, they have options for everyone available nationwide.
Today’s recipe for an Easy Avocado Burger is an easy weeknight meal that takes on a Southwest twist.
I just love the pairing of creamy guacamole with a juicy hamburger. You can make my easy homemade guacamole recipe below or try something a little different like this
Avocado Tomatillo Salsa or Mango Black Bean Salsa.
WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN AN AVOCADO BURGER?
BEEF: I used Original BUBBA beef burgers for my Avocado Burgers. They are gluten-free, use one ingredient and cook in under 10 minutes. Any of their burgers would match up well with the guacamole!
GUACAMOLE: The guacamole is the star of the show aside from the burgers. I love creating a simple guacamole recipe using avocado, tomatoes, lime juice and salt.
You can get even more adventurous and try this Spicy Guacamole or this Mango Guacamole. If guacamole isn’t your thing you can add sliced avocado to your burger instead.
TOPPINGS:When I make these burgers I will often add red onion, lettuce, tomato and grilled or sautéed sweet peppers.
The sky is the limit with toppings – add your favorites or just do the guacamole.
BUN:I like to buy the fancier bun or a whole wheat bun for a healthier option. If you are trying to avoid carbs you could use a lettuce wrap or just serve the burger with guacamole on its own!
WHAT MODIFICATIONS CAN I MAKE TO THIS BURGER?
CHEESE: I like to add cheese to my burgers from time to time. Some of my favorites are gouda, cheddar, pepper jack or mozzarella.
VEGETABLES: Vegetables make a nice addition to a burger. I especially love grilling vegetables to add like bell peppers, zucchini or poblano peppers.
PICKLES: Pickles are always a good idea on a burger. You can add your favorite or make spicy pickles which would go nicely with the guacamole.
SPICE: If you like some heat I suggest adding chopped or sliced jalapeños to your burger. You could also add sriracha, hot sauce or crushed red pepper to your guacamole.
WHAT SHOULD I SERVE WITH THIS EASY AVOCADO BURGER RECIPE?
POTATOES: Potatoes are almost always served next to my burgers. I love these Air Fryer Twice Baked Potatoes, Gouda Smashed Potatoes or these Spicy Lebanese Potatoes.
VEGETABLES: When I make burgers I like to serve a vegetable with it. I especially like these Mediterranean Roasted Vegetables, Simple Garlic Parmesan Green Beans or Turmeric Cauliflower.
SALADS: I love salads so I often serve at least two with my burgers. Some that I love are this Summer Orzo Pasta Salad, Mediterranean Bean Salad or this Lemon Arugula Salad with Pine Nuts.
