When it comes to seafood my kids will eat certain recipes I make. I love that I can get them to eat seafood because I refused to eat it as a child.

Mike and I enjoy it too and it is nice to have a seafood option that the whole family will eat. It is nice to have options to rotate through.

Today’s Honey Garlic Sriracha Shrimp is spicy so if your kids don’t like that you can make half without the sriracha.

When you leave out the sriracha you end up with a sweeter Honey Garlic Shrimp dish which is delicious too!

This shrimp works great as an appetizer, served over rice or pasta or alongside vegetables.

I often will make this Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta, Shrimp Scampi with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and this One Pot Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta.

Recipe Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Shrimp: You can use whatever shrimp you like but I like to buy fresh, deveined shrimp to save time. I also really like the bigger shrimp but any size will work just fine.
  • Honey: Honey adds a nice sweetness to this dish and balances out the spicy sriracha sauce.
  • Soy Sauce: When I use soy sauce I try to go for a low-sodium option. You can also sub in coconut aminos for a gluten-free option in place of the soy sauce.
  • Sriracha: I love sriracha sauce. I often will add a drizzle to this Asian Chicken Noodle Soup or this Spicy Asian Chicken Zoodle Soup. The sriracha works really well with shrimp giving it a nice kick!
  • Ginger: Ginger is added to the sauce in this spicy shrimp dish. If you don’t have ginger on hand you can skip it or sub dried ginger for fresh ginger.
